Leadership, Lived Experience, and Workforce Systems Design

Charlènne Valère, M.Ed., is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resilient Healthcare Institute™ (RHI). She is an experienced higher education professional, workforce development leader, and program designer with a professional background spanning college administration and instruction, healthcare-adjacent placement, and community-based workforce systems.

RHI was founded in response to a clear and persistent gap observed across care environments: staff are often technically prepared for their roles but insufficiently supported in the human, emotional, and ethical demands of care work. Burnout, turnover, and moral distress are frequently treated as individual shortcomings rather than systemic issues. RHI exists to address those challenges at the workforce level through innovative, structured, facilitated, and applied learning.

Charlènne’s leadership approach is informed by formal educational training and lived experience. Her work centers emotional intelligence, ethical judgment, and sustainability as core workforce competencies, not optional soft skills. Through RHI, she partners with employers and workforce organizations to design innovative, resilience-based emotional intelligent training that supports long-term retention, team stability, and care quality.

Leadership Philosophy

RHI’s work is grounded in the belief that workforce sustainability is a strategic priority. Training must reflect the realities of emotionally complex roles and support behavior change over time, not simply knowledge acquisition. Programs are designed to be practical, cohort-based, and aligned with organizational goals related to onboarding, upskilling, and retention.

Charlènne’s leadership emphasizes collaboration, facilitated dialogue, and applied reflection. This approach allows organizations to strengthen team dynamics while respecting operational realities. RHI does not deliver one-time workshops. It builds internal capacity through intentional design and ongoing reinforcement.
